Burnswark is a comfortable, well-presented spacious detached cottage bungalow. Ideal for Holidays in Derbyshire.It has a certificate of 

Excellence from Trip Adviser for the current year 2019.. It has a large rear enclosed garden with patio and seating area. It provides idyllic accommodation for two guests looking to explore Glossop and the surrounding countryside area. We know you will enjoy the open fire on those cold winter evenings: it provides an ideal all year round retreat yet is convenient for those who prefer Manchester's entertainment. 

Burnswark’s accommodation comprises:

Living room: With open fire, Wi-Fi, Freeview & BT Sport TV, DVD player, CD player.

Separate Dining room: 

Kitchen: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Conservatory: With table and seating.

Bedroom : With four poster Queen-size bed. 

Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail. 

Garden: Large enclosed rear garden.

Burnswark is located just a few minutes’ walk from the Longdendale Valley and Bottoms Reservoir with its fascinating history, being built by Bateman, and close to the ancient Roman fort remains of Melandra Castle. 

The Trans Pennine Trail on the edge of Glossop is 10 minutes’ drive from the Peak District National Park. The surrounding area holds a wealth of amenities and attractions, including shops, restaurants and traditional pubs serving food, all within walking distance. There are no shortages of cultural experiences, and places to eat and drink in Glossop itself, and the original village, now known as Old Glossop, is a peaceful area huddled around the old church and cross.

 Further afield you have the spa town of Buxton, which is famous for its diverse architecture and Opera House, and the show caves around the beautiful village of Castleton, Blue John and Pooles Cavern, both of which can be reached in around 30 minutes. The National Trusts’ Lyme Park is also around half an hour drive, and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, within 45 minutes. The market town of Bakewell can be reached in around 45 minutes. Matlock and Matlock Bath with its cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham is around 1 hour away.

For guests who prefer the bright lights and facilities that a big city has to offer, Manchester is a 40-minute drive away, or only 30 minutes by train direct from Hadfield, Dinting or Glossop. Its approx. ¼ mile to the local shops, with a pub and restaurant only 165 yards away.
